Acne An Introduction

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:07 am

Acne is the most common skin disorder. Over 10% of Americans age 25 - 44 have acne. Over 85% Americans age 12 - 25 will have acne at one time or the other.

If ignored, acne can become infected, create scars, and pockmarks that become permanent on your face. I don’t want this to happen to you, so I have written a series of articles on how to clear your acne.

Acne Is a Disease

Acne is a disease called seborrhea or seborrheic dermatitis. It occurs when the sebaceous glands, under your skin, become contaminated with oily toxic matter, which contains,

? dirt
? dead skin
? excess sebum oil
? acid waste
? bacteria
? toxic matter

Under normal conditions the sebaceous glands release oil that comes up through your pores onto the skin surface. This release keeps your skin moist and lubricated for protection from the environment.

If your pores on your face are not open or plugged, this creates toxic oil that cannot move out onto your skin. This results in a growth or pimple that start to increase in size as more toxic oil tries to reach the surface of your skin.

If the pore walls burst under the skin, white blood cells move in to digest the collagen around the pores. When this happens, you will have scars on your face.

To avoid having scars, you need to start an acne-clearing program before you get acne or just as soon as you see acne coming so that your pimples and back heads don’t get to the point where they get severely infected and burst.

If your acne is more severe, than you may have to follow my 12-step program, since acne is an expression of your whole body system and is a reflection of what is going on inside your mind, cell structure and internal organs.

Acne is an excessive toxic condition within your body, which the internal elimination organs are unable to eliminate. So your toxins are moved into your blood and excreted through your skin. It is an automatic survival mechanism your body initiates in an effort to protect the insides of your body - cells, liquid, blood, organs, and tissues.

There are 12 areas that you need to look at,

* Keep your face clean
* Using Scotty’s acne face cream or your favorite face cream
* Relive your constipation and the tree day liquid fast
* Making changes to your diet
* Get plenty of sun, air, and water

Acne 101

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:37 am

It is the bane of a person’?s existence. Everybody gets it; everybody hates it. And once you have it, prepare to be tormented, embarrassed and humiliated. Such a small bump, so much at stake. So what is this little bundle of horror? What else but the dreaded pimple!

A pimple, or acne as some people calls it, is a dreaded red, swollen bump in the face. Nobody is spared from having it. Male or female, American, Chinese or Puerto Rican, they all have gotten it at some points of their lives and may even still have it. It is like a universal language; it is like a right of passage in a person’s life. Acne is a result of the hormones action on the skin’s oil glands (the sebaceous gland) which leads to clogged pores and outbreak of lesions like pimples, blemishes or acne. Acne commonly occurs in the neck, face, back, shoulders and chest because the sebaceous glands are most abundant in these locations. But the important question we should be asking to be able to avoid this dreaded ?disease? is, ?What causes this pain in the neck called acne??

Unfortunately, the causes of acne cannot really be determined (unless your parents or their parents are acne infested too then there’s a big, big chance you?ll be called acne face by your peers and classmates) thus the acne myths are born! These myths claim to be the cause of acne. We shall enumerate them here.

Acne Myth Number 1

Acne is caused by not washing your face often and not scrubbing it hard enough. Many believed that acne is caused by dirt and dust in the face and by washing your face two-three even four times a day or even by scrubbing your face hard can prevent acne. Wrong, wrong, wrong! It is true that dirt and dust is unsightly to the face and washing the face is the way to eradicate them but washing often can actually irritate the skin more. Washing should not be done more than twice a day. More than twice is enough to strip the face of its natural oils making it dry. Also, scrubbing can cause inflammations. Washing the face should be done as gently as possible with the gentlest facial scrub.

Travel Insurance Fraud – The Consequences

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:14 am

After two law graduates were recently arrested in Brazil for committing insurance fraud, we take a look at the consequences and possible sentences that they, and the 4,300 people last year who were claimed to be making fraudulent travel insurance claims, could face.
Rebecca and Shanti were both honest law-abiding citizens with law degrees from Sussex University, so it came as something of a surprise when they were recently arrested in Brazil for committing holiday insurance fraud. The two girls allegedly told the police that thieves had stolen around ?1,000 of their possessions, including a camera and laptop computer. However, officers became suspicious of their calm demeanour and the fact that it had taken the girls days to report the alleged offence.
The police subsequently demanded to see the girls’ lodgings, where they claim to have uncovered all the possessions which the girls claimed had been stolen en-route to Brazil’s Iguassu Falls. Rebecca and Shanti could face up to five year’s imprisonment if they are found guilty of committing holiday insurance fraud in Brazil, and this sentence is actually quite lenient when you consider some of the punishments that they could face if they had committed the crime in a different country.
In England, tourists face up to 10 years imprisonment as a result of making fraudulent holiday insurance claims. This sentence could even be on top off additional penalties, such as repayment of the amount you claimed and compensation to your travel insurance company. You would have thought that the prospect of a ten year prison sentence would put most people of committing travel insurance fraud, but last year 4,300 dishonest claims worth ?5million were made through holiday insurance companies in the UK alone.
Overseas police forces and travel insurance companies, have now started to get increasingly more vigilant about holiday insurance cheats, a policy which no doubt led to the arrest of Rebecca and Shanti. Details of fraudulent travel insurance claims have now been kept on an industry-wide database, which will be accessed by the Financial Services Authority and insurance companies. This means that anyone caught trying to commit holiday insurance fraud will now automatically face higher insurance costs and have difficulty obtaining other insurance cover, such as home insurance. On top of this, attempting to commit travel insurance fraud may also impact on your credit rating, which would make it more difficult to obtain goods or borrow money in the future.
It is reported that 75,000 Britons have at some point in their lives committed holiday insurance fraud, either by making a false claim or by exaggerating an existing one. Records from travel insurance companies show that Britons lose more Louis Vuitton luggage abroad than is actually ever sold in the UK.
So many fraudulent claims, however, could see the end of cheap travel insurance, as holiday insurance companies may need to put up their prices in order to make up for the losses that they may incur.
Rebecca and Shanti’s Brazilian sentence may have seemed tough, but if the girls had attempted to commit holiday insurance fraud within the UK then they would have risked a much stricter sentence.

5 Things To Remember When Taking Your Motorhome To Europe

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:53 am

Great Britain has some beautiful countryside and bustling cities and, being an island, there is always miles of coast just a few hours drive away offering everything from long sandy beaches to picturesque cliffs. On top of this, there is the rest of Europe just over the English Channel offering a diverse selection of cultures waiting to be explored. What better way is there to explore these countries than from the comfort and freedom of a motorhome?

Most seasoned motorhome drivers will know the basics about the different rules and regulations of driving in European countries, but if you don’t, you’ll need to know them. Ignorance is not an excuse and certainly not one that will sit with a foreign policeman who may end up pulling you over.

There are a few rules that apply when it comes to driving in Europe that you will need to be aware of. The majority of Western Europe countries drive on the right hand side of the road and give way to traffic coming from the left on roundabouts. I know this may sound a little patronizing, but this must always be in your conscious mind. This also means you should leave extra room when over taking to make sure you can see if anything’s coming.

If you’re driving your own right hand drive motorhome in Europe, most European countries specify you must have headlight beam deflectors. Because vehicles in the UK drive on the left, the headlights automatically point towards the left slightly (so you don’t blind on coming traffic), since oncoming traffic on the continent is going to be on your left, you’re required to have deflectors on your motorhome to stop your headlights going straight into the eyes of oncoming drivers.

Although drinking and driving is a serious offence in the UK, there an even lower tolerance in Europe, with most western Europe countries, being over 0.5mg/ml (the UK limit is 0.8mg/ml) can results in on the spot fines, confiscation of your licence and/or motorhome or imprisonment.

Although most responsible motorhome drivers will always carry warning triangles, high visibility jackets and spare bulbs when driving in Europe, it is actually a legal requirement in most European countries. Spain for example specifies you carry two warning triangles, as well as a spare pair of glasses if the driver’s eyesight is impaired. Your motorhome should also display identification it’s from the UK too, most modern vehicles will have this on the number plate anyway, but if you’re motorhome doesn’t, you’ll need a GB sticker on the back of it. Again, failure to comply with any of these can results in serious repercussions,

Speed cameras and speed traps tend to be a little stricter than in the UK too, the speed limits are displayed as km/h rather than mph, if caught speeding you can again be subject to on the spot fines or even imprisonment. Different countries will have different rules regarding speeding on their roads, in France; speed camera detectors are illegal even if they’re turned off. The German Autobahns may have no speed limit as such, but many stretches of it do.

Be aware of individual regulations in different countries, many cities in Germany have low emission zones for which your motorhome may require a permit to travel through. In Spain, not indicating correctly on motorways when you’re over taking, pulling back in or pulling on or off the motorway can result in a fine. In order to use the motorways in Switzerland and some other European roads, you must have a Vignette, this can be purchased either in advance or at border control, this is a toll tax and must be displayed in your motorhome window.

Every county is different, and they all have something different and unique to offer. Make sure you know about any laws and driving regulations that can affect you (even if it’s just an hour or two with Google one afternoon). Make sure all your documentation is up to date and take it with you (ensure it’s always kept somewhere safe). Don’t forget to have fun and be safe.
